Monia Procesi PhD

Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV), Rome, Italy

She is permanent researcher at INGV. Her scientific expertise is in the field of fluid geochemistry applied to georesources and climate changes. In particular, the main part of research activities focuses on low-carbon geo-energy sources such as geothermics. In this regards, she published several articles on the identification and characterization of potential conventional-unconventional geothermal resources and the role of geothermal energy into the energy plans. Her research activity also focuses on geological methane geochemistry, investigating on its origin, formation processes, migration to the atmosphere, and on its role as greenhouse gases.
Her researches extended on global scale and in detail over Italy and south-eastern Europe. Sometimes she has the opportunity to be involved in researches on volcanic and urban lakes and this topic is amazing for her.
Peculiar for her studies is the multidisciplinary approach.
